I woke up at a lovely hour – 8am – and all of the other girls were already gone, probably on their phones with their families. They really don’t know how to enjoy their zero day properly! After all the walking sleeping in is something our bodies need to recover. Well, their loss. I took a nice shower and then called my family as well. I was finished before the girls got back and then we agreed on going to the Breakfast club café for brunch. Unfortunately Sinead didn’t join us because her knee wasn’t getting better. She made the decision to call it quits and visit her grandma in Europe before going back home down under. Of course we were all very said that another hiker – our tramily member – had to leave the trail due to an injury. However, health comes first and we support her decision. After the very good brunch at the movie named place we decided to head to the local Grocery Outlet to do our resupply.

I could find everything I would need for the next two to five days. Two because in two days we will be in the Yosemite Valley where we plan on doing a little side trip to the valley, possibly with lunch and worst case scenario there is a store as well so in case I would miss something I would get it there. After we have about four more days till we get to Pinecrest where we plan our next zero. So more or less I should be fine with food till Pinecrest. Once we finished our resupply, we got back to our motel and for a good chunk of time I was lying on the bed binge watching the new season of Ginny and Georgia. Sorry not sorry. Eventually I packed all the food into my bear canister and then took a bath while the girls went out for dinner. I still had some leftovers from brunch and honestly just wanted to have a nice chill evening for myself. Tomorrow we are heading out again and I feel like I need to come back to Mammoth again at some point to finally go skiing here. I really like the vibe here, a lot.
