The night at The campground was so nice! Not only could I sleep only in my base layers because it was so warm but I did not wake up once at night and slept throughout the whole might till 6:15am! At 7am we caught the bus to the Yosemite village and then the hiker bus that was supposed to take us all the way up to Tuolumne Meadows again. Pun on the “supposed to”. Approximately 15min before reaching Tuolumne Meadows a belt or something broke down so we could either wait for another bus that would come in two hours or try getting a hitch. Well, we decided for the latter. Since yesterday it worked out pretty nicely with hitching for me and Stefi we decided to try it again. After 10min a nice guy with a cute doggo pulled over and took me, Stefi and Prez (from the other tramily) all the way up. I must admit that hitching is slowly growing on me and doesn’t feel as uncomfortable as it did in the beginning. Yay.

Once we got to the store the others (6 more people) got there shortly after us. That went surprisingly smoothly! We hung out at the store for a bit, got something to eat, charged our stuff and talked to some other hikers. Around 1pm we all hiked out. All stands for me, Ann, Stefi, Lorenz and the other tramily that has been around since Mammoth (if not sooner). There are 5 people – Traffic Cone (American), Prez (American), Diva (American), Aces (American) and Ketchup (Czech). Yes all of those are trail names and yes I met another person from Czech – Lenka – she’s nice. The majority planned on camping by a lake but me, Stefi and Prez found a nice tentsite 2.5 miles (4km) before that one and decided to catch up on the others in the morning. It was also already 7:15pm and my stomach was screaming dinner time. At camp we also met another hiker – Leven – who we have been seeing the past couple of days as well. After dinner me and Stefi played cards with Prez and I found out he’s been also carrying cards with him but in the actual size not mini like mine. He is from Alaska and seems very friendly! The other tramily is growing on me. I might take time to open up but getting to know someone in a smaller group is way better.
