Today we had an early start again. Since we camped few miles before the others we decided to get up earlier and catch them up. Prez was a little bit slower so me and Stefi went ahead. First we had to do a little climb but I was happy to do it now and not in the evening. At 7:20am we got to the lake where the others were supposed to be camping and well they were still there. I stopped there for a second but the mosquitoes were pretty bad so me and Stefi kept moving while the others were packing up. The sun was up and the views were pretty damn nice but whenever we stopped the bloodsucking beasts were around us. A bug net was our best friend. At noon we got to the Smedberg Lake where we were supposed to have a lunch break. The mosquitoes were still bad but they won’t stop me from eating my lunch! After a while the others got there too and some of them decided to take a dip in the lake. I was sitting on a rock in a shade and chatted with Aces for a while. Cool guy who did the AT four years ago and plans on doing the CDT in two years. Triple crown before turning 25 years old? Pretty impressive.

In the afternoon me and Stefi would mostly be ahead of the others but Aces caught up so we continued together. We passed some more nice lakes and at 7pm we finally got to our tentsite that was next to a river where I dipped my feet for a while. Aces joined and we talked a bit more. Soon the others came and we set up camp. I was kind of lazy to set up my tent so I decided to cowboy camp and so did Aces. The mosquitoes were still bad but I was hoping that once it gets colder they would leave us alone. Well they did not disappear completely but once it got dark it wasn’t as bad anymore. We enjoyed our dinners and then went to catch some zzzzs.
