This morning we slept a bit longer and left our tentsite by 7am. At 8am we were already by the road and 5min later a guy from San Francisco who was headed to Mount Shasta gave us a ride to Burney. So kind! We got to the World of Life Church where PCT hikers could crash in the gymnasium. A local guy gave us a tour and first thing we did was taking a shower. Oh my..that felt so good. Afterwards me and Stefi chilled for a bit and then went to Dollar General to do our resupply for the next stretch. Surprisingly we found everything we needed which was great. Then we went to a local laundromat to do our laundry. In the meantime we met Ann and the others who were also in town. Ann had to skip from Chester to here because of her foot problem and Traffic Cone joined her. They were to spend one more night in Burney at the church as well. Once our laundry was done we headed back to the church to chill some more of course.

It was nice to see Ann and the rest after almost two weeks! The last time we saw them was in Lake Tahoe. I mean except for Diva and Aces who we got to meet briefly in Belden. In the evening me, Stefi and Lorenz went to check out a local Bowling place because it was the only opened place where we could get something to eat. I got a pizza, salad and a margarita! Stefi got a burger, nachos and then a margarita as well. We stayed there till 11pm and then went back to the church. It was nice to stay up a bit longer because tomorrow we are having a zero day here in Burney. It will be nice to finally get some rest after so long.
