Today I already got up after 5am and by 6am me and Stefi were back on trail. Soon we would spot a deer with a bambi and even more deer throughout the day. It was nice to be in the forest most of the day since this was another hot day but I already started missing the views. I know the trail is definitely spoiling us with all the views. Northern California has really surprised me thus far and we still have a week here to go. It is also crazy to think that we have about two months left on the Pacific Crest Trail. Sure we are still in the same state for 105 days but California with 1 700 miles (2 720km) represents more than a half of the whole PCT so of course it would take some time to get across to. Nevertheless people say that Oregon is rather flat and it should take around eighteen to twenty days to walk through so let’s see.
In the evening we had to tackle some climbs – as usual – and by 7:30pm I was already pretty finished so we decided to camp next to a dirt road behind an excavator. I secretly checked whether it’s opened and it was! If only I knew how to drive it I would free the trail from all the bushes (joke). After the whole day we enjoyed a warm dinner and at 9pm it was already time to go to sleep.
