We got up after another rather warm and quiet night, packed our stuff and then it was time to get going because today we were headed to Mount Shasta for a nero. We were staying at a trail angel’s place that would also pick us up around 1pm. It was mostly downhill in a forest full of shade so we were flying. Before getting to the trailhead we passed a 1 500 mile marker (2 400km) which is another great milestone. When we got to the trailhead it probably took three minutes till Donna – the trail angel – pulled over. What a timing. She seemed super nice and had two doggos with her as well. Before she took us to her place she drove us to the town to show us around and then we went to her and her husband’s place. Very nice house they had. Me and Stefi had a big outdoor bed on a deck under the roof with a swing! So cool. Plus there was a hot tub as well, awesome. 

Apart from that, Donna offered us to borrow her car and go wherever we needed to do our resupply. Stores with better selection and favorable prices were in a nearby town called “Weed” (I know right) which was a 15-minute drive. I was beyond happy that I got to drive again. Just don’t ask me whether I have an international driving license or not okay? What a luxury to run all the errands and have a car. I will definitely not look the same way at mine. Ann and Lorenz happened to be in town as well and since we still had to reorganize our resupply we didn’t have enough time to meetup with them – they were staying at another trail angel’s place a bit on the outskirts – tomorrow and have lunch together. After we finished our resupply we jumped into the hot tub and honestly had a blast. Later a big thunderstorm rolled in and man were we happy to have a roof above our heads this night.
